Royalton Parks Project

The goal of the Royalton Parks Project is to provide outdoor parks for people in the community to enjy. Royalton Parks Project started with 3 youth coming to a City Council Meeting and asking for a skate park. This grew into the Healthy Communities Project where to community picked a water park of some kind as a mojor goal. This then rounded out to redeveloping McGonagle Park to a walking area, next to the skate park.

Skate Park Update

This community really comes together to get things done, we should be very proud to live in such an area. So many people and businesses and organizations are pitching in to help make the skate park a huge success. Don Dubbin is donating his time and several loads of sand to help install the cement pad.  Ronnie Peterick and his crew are all donating their time and talent to lay the concrete.  Newmans Manufacturing is donating all of their time and talent to build the skate park equipment. Many businesses have donated money; The Fire Department donated $5,000. It’s amazing how this community stepped up to the plate to make this park a huge success. All thanks goes to the entire community; from the kids in the area who asked for the park to the parents who helped support their children, to the adults and business owners who helped fund the park.

Splash Park Update

The design for the Splash Park is displayed at City Hall and now fundraising is underway for phase one. The location of the park will be on the north end of town in the cul-de-sac on Platte Wood Drive off of Birch Street around the 800 block. The land was part of the Roach Development agreement designating a piece of land as City Park property.
