ORDINANCE NO. 20.0

AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE EMERGENCY REPAIR OF THE WELL SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF ROYAL TON.
 
The City Council of the City of Royalton, Minnesota hereby ordains:
 
Section 1. Findings of Fact.
The City Council finds that the well system is in dire need of immediate repair and constitutes an emergency situation. The need for repair of the well system so a to provide sufficient water pressure to the city of Royalton in the event of fire or other natural disaster is a condition which places in jeopardy the lives and property of the citizens of the City of Royalton. The City Council thus finds that the condition of the well system of the City of Royalton requires emergency repairs as defined in Section 462.461, subdivision 2, Minnesota Statutes, relating to letting of contracts.

Section 2. Emergency Repairs.
The City of Royalton shall contract with the firm of Them Well Co., of Spicer, Minnesota, to repair the well system of the City of Royalton. Them Well Col. shall remove sand from the well system, gravel pack and screen the well system1 and perform all tasks necessary to restore the Royalton well system to a state of good repair

Section 3. Funding.
The City of Royalton is hereby authorized to expend the approximate sum of Sixty Thousand and no/IQO dollars ($60,000.00) to contract Them Well Co. to repair the well system of the City of Royalton.
