ORDINANCE NO. 33

AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF ROYALTON TO INCLUDE CERTAIN UNINCORPORATED PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY OF ROYALTON AND ABUTTING UPON THE
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROYALTON.

WHEREAS, the territory described below is not presently within the corporate limits of any incorporated city; and

WHEREAS, this territory abutts upon the corporate limits of the City of Royalton at the northern boundary thereof and is deemed to be urban or suburban in character; and

WHEREAS, this territory is owned in fee by the City of Royalton;
The City Council of Royalton ordains:

Section 1. Territory annexed. The corporate limits of the City of Royalton are hereby extended to include the un-platted property described as follows, which property is now owned by the
City:
The Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (NW 1/4
NE 1/4) of Section 2, Township 38 Range 32, Benton
County, Minnesota, except the South 145 feet of the
East 312 feet thereof.

Section 2.  Filing. The City Clerk is directed to file certified copies of this ordinance with the Secretary of State, the County Auditor of the county in which the property is located, the Town Clerk of the affected township and the Minnesota Municipal Board.

Section 3. Effective date of annexation. This ordinance takes effect upon its passage and publication and the filing of certified copies as directed above.
