SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MARCH 15, 2007  
7:00 P.M.
ROYALTON CITY CENTER

 

Mayor Lauer called the Special City Council meeting to order.  On roll call members present were:  Lauer, Libke, Gutzkow and Cekalla.  Arriving late, Verley.
 
People present:  Terry Lehrke, Morrison County Record; Les Mateffy, Mateffy Engineering; Julie Ferguson; Bill Popp, Caldwell Banker; Jason Quade, Dynasty Homes; and Carol Madsen, City Clerk/Treasurer.

Purpose of this Special meeting was to discuss the Parkway Village proposed development.  Dynasty Homes, the developers, are requesting assistance from the City, possibly through “Trunk Access Charges”.  Les Mateffy, City Engineer, reviewed the preliminary cost estimate for the proposed “Trunk Access Charges”. 

TIF and Tax Abatement were also discussed.

Jason Quade also expressed interest in working with the Greater MN Housing Fund.  He will contact them and will work with David Drown to put some options together.

After many questions and concerns were addressed the Council decided to have a meeting with David Drown, Financial Advisor and the City Attorney, Tom Wenner to help the City realize the full benefit and risk to the City.

Verley made a motion to adjourn at 8:25 p.m., 2nd by Cekalla.  Put to a vote with all members voting aye.  Motion carried.
